HO Syndicate Hardshell Boot
Over the last 5 years there has been an increase of people going away from rubber ski boots to the newer style hardshell ski boots. These types of boots provide more lateral stability, better comfort, greater connection with the ski and are believed to be safer because of the release mechanism. There is also the controversy over what is better, rubber vs. hardshell. Controversy aside, hardshell boots are becoming more popular and one of the biggest names in the sport, HO has released the 2018 Syndicate Hardshell Boot. Syndicate, which is HO's competition waterski line now offers this high performance hardshell ski boot. Some of the key features are: 3D printed outsole for full connection to the ski, Reflex 750 release system for safety and reliability, aluminum micro adjustable buckles for a precise fit every ski ride, heat moldable liner for maximum comfort, and coated stainless steel toe loop.
The HO Hardshell boot is softer and more flexible than some of its competitors on the market. This could be HO trying to bridge the gap between hardshell and conventional rubber boots . In testing it was found that this provided more agility in the turns and better forward flexion to transfer weight over the front balls of your feet coming off the wakes going into the preturn. Also all our testers noticed great connection to the ski provided by the 3D printed outsole which reduced heel slippage, boot roll and better toe pressure. The 2018 HO Hardshell Boot is a well rounded ski boot with comfort, performance and safety all in one.
