2020 SYNDICATE DRY-FLEX WETSUIT REVIEW
This year brings a new product line of wetsuits, the 2020 Syndicate Dry-Flex Wetsuit. It’s simple, this is a high performance, ultra-thin wetsuit that protects watersport athletes against the colt without compromising mobility. Hydrophobic and quick-drying, the 1.5mm High Stretch Dry-Flex Wetsuit provides the elasticity you want with the warmth you need. This is a high-performance wetsuit, built with THIN neoprene for maximum mobility. It is constructed with glued seams, a hydrophobic face fabric, and an athletic fit to keep you semi-dry when in use. This suit is constructed with high-stretch neoprene that is delicate and requires special care compared to traditional wetsuits.
The Syndicate Dry-Flex Wetsuit is offered in 3 versions; Top, Shorty, and Full.
Our Thoughts:
We had the opportunity to test the “shorty” spring suit. We tested the suit in 50-degree water with air temps in the high 60’s. Getting the suit on was not the easiest, like most wetsuits on the market these ultra-thin suits are like getting a surgical glove on. You have to work from the legs up slowly. We were using the XL and compared to a Camaro Wetsuit the Syndicate Dry-Flex Wetsuit runs one size smaller. The Syndicate Wetsuit has a heavy-duty zipper but does require some help from a buddy to zip you up. Once in the water, it was instantly noticed that these suits take in a lot of water. H.O claims that the suit is hydrophobic however, during our testing the suit was completely wet on the inside. While skiing the suit was comfortable and didn’t seem to restrict mobility. Also, getting pulled out of the water by the boat was easy and the suit had low drag. We were also impressed by the build quality of this suit compared to others on the market. Overall the suit is built well and seems to be very durable with strong material and a heavy-duty zipper. The only downside is that this suit takes in water more than we’d like.
