Ski Paradise

Mexico is a very special place for me and I’m always looking forward to my trip that I take every year in February for 2 weeks down at Gordon Rathburn’s Ski Paradise in Acapulco, Mexico. For those who haven’t been at least once, put a trip to Ski Paradise on your bucket list! It’s a first class experience from start to finish! There is great food, tons of skiing, professional coaching, amazing view and beaches! One of my favorite things is to go to the beach after a good day skiing and then chill at the villa by the pool with all the amazing guests. Also the villa has incredible views of the ocean and the bay pretty close from each other. Wow what a view!
This was my 4th year paired up with professional skier and coach, Seth Stisher and man it's a lot of fun! Seth brings a lot of knowledge to the guests about his philosophy of slalom skiing. Seth also brings a lot of fun energy and laughter and the guest just absolutely love it! Seth and I have built some great relationships over the years with our guests. We have established some core groups that come every year and I’m proud to say we have one of the fastest weeks that sell out.
This year in particular was a ton of fun. I got in late Saturday afternoon and the next day we skied hard. That evening we went to watched the super bowl and chilled. I’ve had the great pleasure to go to Gordon's the last 2 years to watch the super bowl and I definitely won’t take that for granted.
Another exciting thing I got to do is go zip-lining for the first time. The view was incredible! If you've never gone zip-lining before, you've got to try it.
I didn’t do a lot of skiing this year because I wanted to focus on coaching the guest more and do my best to dial them in. I was really happy with the progress everyone made after a long off-season, especially the snowbirds. With the winter we had in Florida I wasn’t too far behind them! And last but not least I would say the highlight of my trip was watching Landon Stisher, Seth’s son just absolutely shred it in the slalom course. He had multiple personal bests and his enthusiasm and passion for skiing was really cool to see. I really hope Landon keeps pursuing to become a champion , it would be really cool to see him as a top pro one day.
In closing I can’t wait till next year at Ski Paradise!
Adios,
